Have cancelled my FF points which had to go via Singapore anyway. Had tried for over 12 months to get direct to Bali but there was never any available. The more I thought about it the more I disliked going via Singapore so got a price for a 4 day cheap package then booked direct with Ramayana (which I had already done) I am paying $2261 for 13 nights for the 2 of us including breakfast in a deluxe room. Plus I get my $400 refunded in taxes which I paid when I booked the FF points. It cost 50,000 points each to get to Bali via Singapore and I will lose 10,000 points for cancelling but I feel much better doing it this way. Sometimes you have to sit down and work out is it better to keep your points for somewhere else where it costs more to go to because it is pretty cheap to get to Bali anyway from Perth
