We had two nights in the delux and then one night in 8. Yes you do look over the rice paddys from the bed and we liked the sofa layout by the doors too! Suited us with our daughter. We didnt see the other room but if we go back willbe asking for rm 8. For me personally the upstairs rooms were too much. Up very steap stairs tht you can see though and I suffer from vertigo! If you feel tempted later likeI did with the duplex just remember that though very nice, the downstairs is basically the bathroom with the front door opening on to it! Noval!!! We had a fantastic stay there with great staff and you get a ride into town (and back) when ever you want FREE! And with the kids you can get a TV for your rom if you ask may pay to reserve before you go, we hired DVD in Kuta and took it with us, worked well.
Also my daughter and I did a batik one day course and it was really good email if you want the info.
