Both my sons had BB guns way back when they were allowed into Aus.
They were the heavy metal type handgun replicas.
At home they used to set up paper bullseye targets (like those used at air rifle clubs) with a mattress behind at a distance of 4+ metres or so away.
End result... the paper target was shot to sh*t & if they missed it was another indentation in the plaster of the wall behind the mattress.
The shot had enough force to both tear paper & mark a wall.
I'm not surprised the cats did not complain..... :(
The ones I saw kids using this year at the hotel were like sawn off shotguns...more plastic than heavy duty metal.
From the sound of the groans and screams as they hit their intended target they still packed a punch regardless.
From what I've seen of kids using them in Bali,they are rarely supervised at all, let alone supervised 'reasonably'.
