as you may know my in laws are Balinese, living In Tuban which is their village. My Mother in law is a now retired nurse from one of the private hospitals in Denpasar, she does still administer injections, eye drops & other various medications from her home to the near by villages.
When our Daughter had her throat infection (which she get's when ever run down in OZ as well) she needs antibiotics & immediately stops vomiting. After 2 days of her being sleepy & lethargic my Father & Mother in law went to a very close frend of theirs that is a Private paediatricin, (they informed us it could be expensive) they made an appointment & we went to his clinic in Tuban later that afternoon as he was working at the hospital earlier that day, she was immediately given a Bali residency card to fill in & was called in by the Receptionist as her Balinese name (I believe this to be because there was a large group of waiting Indonesians in the Surgery & I guess they may have felt me being Western got treated better?) He spoke Balinese to my hubby, but once inside asked me in English if she has had all her immunisations & were they all up to date etc, etc, he listed them as we have them in our yellow immunisation book in OZ, he then spoke to our daughter (she was 5 at the time) & said instantly that she had a throat infection, he immediately gave her a syrup of what he called antibiotic that would work quickly & gave us a script for more, we went to the counter to pay & it cost us 8,000rp! (not at all expensive) bUt I then thought maybe the medecine would be...? 11,000rp later we had that & walked out, daughter instantly asked for brussell Sprouts (She loves veggies), I knew then that she was fine!

Ok abit ioff track... well OK , alot, but basically he knew all the immunisations & I know my niece & nephew in Bali, are immunised like our kids in Australia. I mentioned the Chicken Pox vaccine when daughter got them (she was 2 at that time) in Bali, but my sister in law said the kids get that needle at their 1 yr check up, they never got the chicken pox at all, mind you hubby did!
So for my family I know they are all immunised, not sure it's the same as we have here 100%, but they do have immunisations!!
