I made a post on this subject a couple of weeks ago when someone I knew had it happen to them. I think there is an important point to be made here. When this guy got to the house he knew something was up and he was in over his head and went along with what they proposed in order to get out unharmed. HE DID NOT INTEND TO SCAM ANYONE HIMSELF. He was just very scared and looking for an out. Since this guy has been home he has just about had a nervous break down. he really thought that he was going to be harmed or killed and is surprised that he escaped with just loss of cash and pride. Yes you could call him gulible or too trusting but we all take risks when we are on holidays that we wouldnt take at home. As for me i have been to Bali 51 times and Im sure I have been ripped off in a hundred different ....more subtle ways but I have never felt unsafe or i fear of my life and I still keep going back.
