it is getting a tad tired. The great news is though that they are doing major refurbishments this year and doing each room up one by one so as not to disturb the peace. The restaurant is getting re- done this year and they are moving through the hotel and doing an overhaul over the next 12 months.
I love the Besakih Hotel and although I do agree it is getting tired but I am a tad bias. I think the service and position is the best along that beach strip. You have everything you need within minutes walk and very friendly ladies on your section of the beach for cheap massages etc. Breakfast is included and always very yummy. I can send some pics later this week of the gardens and surrounds if you send me your email.
