Miss 17 now on way to recovery so feeling more relaxed. Had 3 pair winter trousers and 4 pair of leggings (for Mum) copied by Aristo at Merrys Tailors behind the Niksoma. Well made slightly bigger than originals but quickly adjusted. Also has 2 pair of ¾ pants made with their material. Charged between $10 - $13AUS to make so very pleased with these.

Ate at Nero's (excellent), La Monde Pizza (great Pina Colada), Rhum (excellent chicken) all good meals. Found a woman's heaven, a wholesale shoe shop on Jl Padma Utara opposite Merry Tailor. Shop called R2U, no signs they just open the doors. All shoes fixed price with lots of choice. They also sell bags and shawls. Bought two pair of beautiful sequinned evening shoes for 75,000rp each.

Went to visit our sponsored children at Sembung SD7 on the Saturday. Had an appointment to meet Rotary guys at 10am. Luckily we went early as children were being dismissed as we arrived as there was a district meeting at the school that morning. Managed to catch up with our three sponsor children. We had a large bag of donated English books, which were very appreciated. They are building a new library, which will be completed in next couple of weeks. They are using some money we raised last year to help with the library. They have also renovated one block of classrooms so no more rain coming in. I also had a bag of mainly new clothes for the community but they decided that they would keep them to give as incentives for good test results etc. It was only later that I realised that there was a bra (large) in the bag. Not sure which kid will pick that prize, Brenton thought maybe one of the boys would use as a slingshot!

Called in to visit friends that had just arrived at Ubud on way back to Legian, where my dear husband managed to get bitten by a monkey at the monkey forest. Can't blame the monkey as he was sitting beside it on wall imitating it. He eventually stared it in the face and that was when it latched on. No damage as it didn't break the skin but it was certainly a warning to him. Quick wipe over with antibacterial wipes and a few stern words and we were out of there. Another stole a friends drink bottle and then sat on the wall, took the lid off and drank it. Rather funny and made a good photo.

Move to Lovina for a couple of days on day 5. Hadn't been that way on previous visits. Road very steep and windy. Saw monkeys along the road but not game to stop. Stayed at Rambutan Cottages, very pretty gounds, comfortable and in a great position. Lovina was very quiet, hardly any tourists but we really enjoyed it and will certainly stay longer next time. Went out on dawn dolphin trip. Saw a great sunrise and plenty of dolphins. Cost about $8 for two hours and was a highlight of our trip. Ate at Bombai restaurant, meal basic but great margarita and Bali cake (banana crepe with syrup and fresh coconut grated over). Very cheap. Also ate at Kopi Bali had a great seafood platter for 27,000rp. Lovina well worth the visit and will take our friends next time.

Sanur and Kuta on last installment. Thanks for reading.
