I am not talking about barginning and a high asking price. That is part of commerce and happenes (although maybe slightly differently) in all countries.
What makes me sick is that, when I nearly got done in the scam, I went to a cafe with the (then unbeknownst to me) scammer and had a coffee (which she paid for) and a really nice chat, before we parted company. This was a long time after I had said I was not going to go with her. It makes me feel sick that I was sitting and unknowingly talking to a person who was just out to rob me.
Unfortunatly I am not as hard as others. I am not guilabble as such but am very freindly and open. That has lead me to be ripped off on so many occasions in Bali (money changers, filling up the motorbike with fuel, money changers, just getting change from people at restaruants, the porters in the airport who the govt allow to use their rough handed tactics to remove money etc etc.) As I have said before, its systematic in Bali
