if you want something very special to go & see a tailor.Maybe if you see a dress you like in a magazine or a catalogue take that with you.
Our tailor is Aristo from Merry's collection & I have had some absolutely georgeous outfits for After 5 wear made by him.His prices are very reasonable & his quality & workmanship is fantatsic. His shop is in Jalan Padma Utara very close to the Bali Coconuts hotel. If you do a search in the archives of " Aristo" you will find other posts of mine with his full details.

You can get some beautiful fabrics at many shops in Denpasar very cheaply & there is a nice shop called Alta Moda in the Galleria at Kuta that is also good but a bit more pricer. If you are after material in Denpasar get a taxi to drop you off at the Kumbasari markets - material shops are right opposite where you get dropped off & at the next street that intersects where the markets are.Make sure you watch out for the ladies trying to get you to go into their stalls at the market when you get out of the taxi though.
Alternatively you could take materail from home but you would need to be able to figure out how much to buy for the dress you wanted made up.
