We have stayed there quite a few times, the pool is lovely but small, there is also another pool in the shade closer to the restaurant with a small waterfall, the gardens are beautiful, the area it is in is great, the rooms are tired, the staff are helpful, the restaurant makes a good Bubur Ayam for breakfast, pool service is slow, the girls and guys on the beach in front of Besakih are very nice people, spent some time having a massage or manicure, get one of the guys to take you out diving sailing fishing.

Hint - when ordering at the restaurant clearly state what you want - "may I have cutlery, serviette, sauce, salt and pepper at the same time as my meal please" - this is one of the few things that has frustrated me there, by the time you get everything you need to eat the meal the meal can be cold - so I have learnt by experience to ask for each individual item I require all at the same time.

We stopped staying at Besakih because they made little or no allowance for our 10 year old, so we now stay at Gazebo and will be there from 7 - 21 August. Come and have a drink at the bar on the beach at Gazebo and we might catch up.
