But when I asked him (he is Balinese) he said he wont give to the kids as the Government in Bali & the respective loacl Banjars (but apparently not in the rest of Indonesia) have places for homeless, poor etc to get food & shelter, but they choose not to accept it, as they make more money from begging, even paying to borrow kids from families so they can beg, as they earn quite a decent income even after paying to borrow babies & children to entice more monies.
Hubby did say that most that are disfigured or deformed have actually either done this to themselves or are double jointed & make a pkt from sitting begging & making others feel guilty, he even mentioned a certain village (of which I cannot remember) in the mountains in Bali where they all get together & rent a car to come to Kuta/Legian, Tuban, Seminyak to beg each day!!!!
Apparently it is well known in Java & other regions of Indo that if you have a deformed child it can be sold for a high price or rented out at a higher price!!!!
so I guess if you feel like giving then that's up to you...
I am sure not all 100% fit into the above stories/categories... Just examples of what I have been told...
