breach quarantine regulations (biological stuff - wood, leaves, dirt etc etc) or banned items (ivory, some shells etc etc) or if you are over the $1000 per adult spend. Stick to the alcohol limit per adult.
If you honestly declare such items your dvd's should be fine.
Believe me, landing in Adelaide is chaotic at the moment til the new terminal. 1 xray machine for all declared items, and basically everyone from Bali has to go thru it. Huge queues! Your dvd's wont be noticed but the wood will!
