not saying that any one should or shouldnt give to the young, the old, the single parent, the disabled or the elderly but there are those that appear deserving but are not quite what they first appeared to be, your coment about giving to an elderly person with a disability reminded me of my last trip to Bali seeing an elderly blind man begging just near the Kuta art market, he was wearing old cloths, a bit ragged and dirty I did feel sorry for him a gave over some money, I did see him again a bit sooner than I expected to sitting at the next table to us clean and quite well dressed eating dinner, I'm sure that not everone begging is out to scam us but you never quite know.
