before I go - they often have stationary very cheap. I always visit my drivers village and take my stuff plus I gave some to an orphanage last time . Last trip to Office Works I bought all the 96 page exercise books they had for 5c (172) . I always purchase new stuff at garrage sales too so that I have lots of corporate caps, t-shirts etc usually can buy for 50c - they are always popular as gifts not necessities. I always take some t-shirts and give them to the fishermen on the beach. Not many speak English but they sure know how to say thank you in smiles and nods. Next trip I am taking some chocolate as suggested by a BTF regular as she says they love our chocolate- so I know a few village oldies I can spoil . I am probably one of the few people who take as much over as I bring back but its the challenge of the bargin I garrage sale here and bargin -just practise for when I get there. You can also pick up really cheap baby items at garrage sales too. i only purchase new things and you would be surprised how quick I fill my bags . Last December I had a 20kg extra allowance from AP - I got to the airport with 47 kgs + hand luggage - no problem just a nuisance getting it all off at the other end.
