The hotel is 40m down a lane behind the memorial on Jl Legian. It has a security post at the front gate manned 24/7. The foyer is nice and open, not too pretentious, with the dining room upstairs from the foyer. I always change my money at the govt. money changer at Beemo Corner, but I ended up changing at the hotel reception for most of the holiday and lost about 80rp/$1, big deal compared to the 1 km walk round trip to beemo corner. the rooms have either a king size bed or two king singles, light and TV/radio control at bedside, shower in the bath, nice size bathroom/toilet. The rooms are arranged so that three rooms will open on to a communal lounge area,(A/C of course), with another door taking you out to you own patio/balcony. There are about six individual buildings in this configuration, with 3 floors to each. I think there are several cottages as well. the pool is a long oval shape, very clean, cool and clear. There is a toddlers pool as well, although there weren't too many kids there when we were there. More a 30/40/50 type venue.
Breakfasts were good. Eggs to order, bacon, veg, sausage, toast, croisants, cake, tea, coffee, cereal, fresh fruit and juice in plentiful supply. By the way, the only teabags they put in your rooms are Jasmine tea! Not a good taste first thing in the morning.
the grounds are well kept and the staff very friendly. We had massages in their spa, as well as in the laneway shops.Donna is the lady in the first shop, and Rocky has the clothes shop a bit further down. Little Tony will make you personalized glasses keepers for you. As I said earlier, the rooms are starting to feel a little tired, but they are only to sleep/change and tubs in aren't they. The water wasn't that hot in the shower( I think it may be solar powered). For the location its worth staying there, and its quiet at night!
