We have tried Zen centre and Verona spa in Ubud.
At Verona spa our room overlooked the rice fields and workers. At first I thought the workers may 'gawk' at us but of course that didnt happen and after our massage we wouldnt have cared less anyway. (Unless of course they had laugh hysterically and loudly). The girls and I did share a giggle when Trevor started to snore!
The Zen centre has a spare allotment alongside then a building. The reception area and walkway at Zen is glorious and the staff at reception are definitely outstanding. They too dont speak whilst massaging but then I dont suppose I would want that either. I want to drift away and relax. Upstairs at the Zen where you have your facials, manicures, pedicures and possibly hair treatment you can see over ot the rice fields.
The Zen centre is a few doors from Dirty Duck restaurant, so we have in the past wandered down there for our meal. Good twosome!
