Sorry I took so long to get back to you. Here is some more info re the Padma. I have stayed at a few different hotels but really enjoyed the Padma the most. The rooms are nice although the last time I stayed there (feb '04) the bathrooms were looking a bit tired. The shower and bath just looked like they were getting a bit worn (I hope that makes sense!). It was no drama but it was just something I noticed. I stayed in a superior room both times. I'm a cleanliness freak and must say the rooms including the bathrooms are very very clean. The Padma is everything you can expect from a four star hotel. I don't know if you have breakfast included in your package but they cater for all tastes: fruit, juices, eggs, bacon, pastries, cereals etc. You name it, its there. Sorry I don't know anything about the family rooms or children's activities as I've never brought children. The pool is huge, has a swim up bar and you can get massages around the pool from the spa staff if you like. The food in the restaurants has been beautiful. The hotel is right on the beach. In the last few years, a small paved road has been built that runs between the hotel and beach but I have never seen a car/motorbike on it whilst crossing! Shopping, restaurants, bars etc are at your doorstep. I love the location as everything's very close but your not smack bang in the middle of all the action. I think I've covered everything. If you have any other questions, feel free to email me. I hope you and your family have loads of fun! I am so jealous!!!
