flew home yesterday and AP were cracking down on everyones cabin bags.
only ONE bag per person was allowed. I had to put my handbag into my cabin bag. People who bought duty free goods also had to pack these into their cabin bags. Lots of complaints from everyone because in the past they didnt seem to mind if you had long kites, rolled paintings, delicate pieces etc as extras. Any thing that was too long or too bulky or couldnt fit into your one cabin bag had to go into the cargo section so we noticed these things were getting broken and squashed on the luggage conveyer belt at arrivals.
