We spent 2 weeks at the Tanjung Benoa Oasis in February of this year. It was great. The staff was attentive, friendly and non-hustling. The breakfasts were great and the place couldn't be cleaner. They have a 70 meter pool that is great for a lap swimmer and the beach is good. The water has the usual amont of flotsum in it and at low tide there is not much of it. The beach massage ladies were great, but we never tried the spa at the hotel. The walk way on the beach in back of the hotel goes all the way past the Club Med in one direction to the Grande Mirage in the other and makes about a six mile loop which is perfect for joggers, etc. You go out the front of the hotel and there are laundries every 100 yards and a profusion of very good restaurants. The money changers are ify at best, but there are acouple of good ones. The hotel runs a free shuttle to Kuta three times a day. The restaurants are expensive and nothing special. We are from the San Francisco and wound up there on a package deal and were leary, but we would stay there again in a heartbeat. If you need any specifics don't hesitate to ask. It is not a party hotel and for most of our stay we were the only Yanks there. Mainly Asians, Europeans and a few Canadians, Australians and the few Javans. Not many kids.
