although it is a little expensive when you have a family. We went in 2000 and had a fantastic time. The cruise over is very luxurious, serving great perculated coffee and fresh pastries and there are 3 levels (from memory) on the boat with music entertainment.
the trip takes about an hour and then you arrive on this beautiful small island and have the use of the resort for the whole day. You can laze around, swim, sunbake or go snorkelling and banana boat rides and village trip which is all included in the price.
This also includes a really yummy BBQ lunch. We paid for our trip before we left OZ however, people say that you can get a better deal in Bali off the streets. I personally had a great day out and it is a full day!. Just to be on another island for the day was great!!
