I've bought quite a few over the years & really haven't found any difference in quality in the different brands, remember they do come in different sizes though.
I find the biggest size the best buy.I have easily fitted a QS thick quilt from Bali in them.I've seen the space bags sold at Coles,KMart,Big W,Target & I even think I saw them at Bunnings.Keep an eye out if you are not in a hurry cause often they will be on special - but average around $9 > $10.Buy a few they are well worth it.
One thing I must say is I think it is far easier to get the roll up ones rather than have to sort for a vacumer. They can be used over & over again & at least with the roll up ones they can be used at home if you or the kids are going on a camping trip. With the roll up ones I find it best if you fill the bag up & slowly roll from the top & checking that the air is coming out of the one way seal at the bottom. It ends up looking just like a pack of vacumn packed meat you get from the butchers <LOL>
