Depends on 2 things the way I see it , if your tv runs directly from the power outlet in US, than this means that it runs on 110 volts , Bali has a voltage of 220-240volt, double the US power (so kaboom it wont be Happy),it might however have a switch near the power cable inlet to the DVD to change voltage input to 240 volt , then you'd be OK.
Now if the DVD has an exterior power source (charger) than it will also have to be 240volt input to say 12 volt output not the 110 to 12 volt that it probably is
Also it is rare but you might have some trouble with some hotels with the Tv as not all are NTSC and Pal compatable, and lastly if your portable DVD is not NTSC/pal compatable it might only play some dvd's (those that are the US standard, NTSC)

Dont ruin your Holiday take the portable to your local TV repairer and ask them where U stand running it Off 240 Volt on a Pal system, U may just need an adapter

Cheers
