Today I was able to get FF flights for the first time ever. We are leaving from Perth then to Darwin and then to Denpasar, won't be in Bali till 11.40pm. It's going to take all day to get there, leaving 8.00am in the morning. But I don't mind as we have direct flights coming home Denpasar to Perth. We are staying 29 days and leaving on the 30th day. Before we left Bali three weeks ago. I booked the hotel Kumala Pantai for May next year in advance. I now need to make a slight ammendment to the dates we gave them. We are paying the hotel direct and the girl needed even us me where were we staying when I booked the flights.
It's hard to get FF flights direct. I had other alternatives going from Perth, Melbourne, Sydney and then Denpasar. The other was going from Perth, Singapore, then to Denpasar all take the whole day to get to Bali.
I'm happy with the choice I made. Our Departure Tax on Australian Airlines was $229.00 each, $458.00 for my husband and I. I thought this was a little expensive however. Does anyone know if that is the correct departure tax levy?.I did question this with the girl and she assured me the levy has gone up.
I forgot to mention FF points needed for our return journey was 86,000 for the both of us. Its only 36000 point if you can get direct flight return from Perth.
I must mention we booked for the whole of May next year. Returning 1st June 2006.
For people wishing to book for next year do it now. I phoned Qantas ff direct, as I couldn't secure any flights myself on the net. That cost us 2500 points each for the girl to do it.
Hope this helps anyone who's wanting ff Flights to Bali. If you have any question please ask.
