G'day Gang
Well it's finally here, the Rally has started in earnest.
We are currently at the scrutineering session at the Bali Cyber Cafe where 'Hack-around-Harry' the Rally Hostage can be found on his days off.
Andretti and the Navigator have turned up wearing really fat shirts and I am feeling quite slim. Their beautiful daughters have been to the hair shop today to get a bit of a 'do' and the boys are starting to worry about the girls heading out on their own.
Sue and Jim initially ordered a Porsche for the Rally but ended up with a Suzuki with a verandah, so much for the language barrier. Jim has been taking to the Rally idea with great gusto in the last few days and keeps re-reading the rules looking for a loophole that can actually get him a win.
David and Moira have probably gone to the greatest extreme and bought a new car for the Rally. Let's see if the dealer warranty extends to the places we intend to take them ;-)
We found two new recruits today, two young fellas on their first trip flew in today and have agreed to join the Rally. We'll see what the morning and a clear head provides for them.
Rae and I have taken a safe option and hired our old mate Wayan Ruda to follow us on the Rally. That gives us somewhere for our baggage to travel and somewhere to put the really noisy kids.
The car we are driving is an absolutey wonderful Taruna that has been lent to us by Ketut Subargia from the Legian Garden Restaurant. Our car is only a couple of years old and the one he lent Sue and Jim only had 2500kms on the clock.
When we offered to pay him for them he just quietly muttered something about Kharma and changed the subject.
What a Guy!
Alright then, time for a beer.
Join us tonight on the Webcam link below.
I'm the really skinny good lookin' bloke ;-)
