going to Bali in a week, is it safe?

I am going to be traveling in Bali for the first time in about a week, but ever since I booked my ticket about a month ago, I have been hearing more and more bad news about Indonesia and Bali. I wanted to hear first hand from someone who is currently there or who has been there in the past month about what they thought about the situation and if they had any suggestions.
