Just got back from 10 days there. Great location, rooms good, if you are upgrading to Deluxe go for room 377 we stayed there, 1 snag though no water pressure to speak of in bathroom, not much hot water, one night went to loo and flushed black water, also in hand basin running black water, didn't dare have a shower. They must have had a broken pipe.
Close to Waterbom park, Discovery shopping centre is excellent, Starbucks, Bread Talk which is fresh yeast goods all day from 9-00am to 11pm great for snacks etc.
Restaurant Warung Baru which is part of BGH is cheap and good food, had the best Spaghetty Bolognaise there, also Sat night BBQ was yummy and cheap, also has nice lunch menu. We had Japanese food at the restaurant upstairs (forgot the name) good sushi and reasonably priced. Breakfast was basic, no cereal, toast took forever in the toaster, fruit was limited and the whole buffet brekky was very ordinary. Can't say anything on the table was outstanding.
Air conditioning worked well, rooms were quite clean, no hair dryer, tea and coffee not replenished very often and the bottled water was only 2 small bottles about 375mls each. Only insist on a deluxe room on the seaside, we had a view of the pool and the ocean. Deluxe rooms were roomy and had lots of drawer space and a good sized wardrobe. Hope this helps, if the BGH improve the water supply and Buffet brekky, we would definitely stay there again just for the location.
