I went to Bali last July, and made 8, 5 minutes (approx) calls to Australia to check that my family and cat were OK. I had Telstra enable the global roaming before I left home.
I got a bloody nasty shock when I got my bill on our return to Australia. Those 6 calls cost me nearly $240.00. It's an absolute bloody ripoff.
This time, I'm going to buy a sim card from outside Matahari, and use it to text home, not ring. The costs are next to nothing for this.... Have fune!
