Hi Tennealle In Australia I wear 7 rings, 6 braclets, 1 bangle and 6 necklaces and like you I do not think they are in your face and at home I never take them off execept for at night 3 long necklaces that slip over my head. My feelings are why have beautiful jewellery and not wear it and have it stuck in a box on the dressing table. However, usually when I go to Bali I take off 5 rings (the other 2 don't come off) all my braclets/bangle and all but one necklace (its my lucky one). Last time we went Feb 05 I left on one bracelet because I could not undo the clasp and figured it would be safe and it was, but, one day at the resturant I thought something was crawling on my neck but it was my necklace falling off as the clasp had broken. I was lucky I felt it! I would have been devestated had I lost it as it is very special to me. So I guess what I am saying to you is how would you feel if you lost a piece? Apparently some people say the chlorine in the pool can affect gold and silver. The problem i have when I take it off is where do i keep it? If I leave it at home or with a friend I then worry if it gets stolen if the house is broken into. This has never happened so I worry for nothing, or you can take it to the bank and put it in a safety box, or take it with you and put it in your safe at the hotel. As for wearing it there i have heard of people having their watches taken off their wrist and not felt a thing. Hope this helps you make up your mind.
