he is just being a very concerned father. We travelled to Bali in February, again in late May (back 2 wks) and are booked to go again in Aug/Sept.
As Saksimata says the locals never mention the Aussie drug situation over there and some know nothing about SC. They love us Aussies and want us to keep coming. Many say "thank you for coming to Bali"! I took my 76 yo mum in May and she had reservations about going, but would return tomorrow if she could. She loved the place.
I suggest if the situation stays as it is from now until Dec, go to Bali for your holiday. Take sensible precautions with your luggage, have it wrapped if this would make your dad happy. To go or not is ultimately your own decision, but Bali is a very friendly place and Balinese people want to keep it safe for tourists in the future. I hope you go and have a good time. Robyn
