Well, by January the rain has usually arrived. It is humid and hot. The rain does not always last all day but tends to come in bursts and can soon dry away. Remember, it is seldom cold by Western standards.
Mind you anything that can be said about the weather can be unreliable!!!
I have travelled to Bali during these months over the past ten years and find it very beautiful - everything is luminous and green, with fanstastic moss on the stone and concrete - the rain need not be a big deal - there's plenty to do and to be fascinated by and loads of wonderful people to interact with.
