Last year we went to Bali 2x. First stayed with teenagers 14,16,19 at Bali Hai. Great time - we chilled, the played and shopped etc. Next time went to Tanjung Benoa up the road from Nusa Dua. Kids hung around us all the time as they were bored. Mostly older crowd, no kids on that side of the island. Better at Bali Hai, as they have a good pool table accessible all day, friendly pool guys keen to talk with teenagers, friendly beach hawkers and only a short cab ride from the action in Kuta.
As a previous poster said - no contest. Definately bali hai!
It is very quiet at Tuban and Nusa Dua that time of year, less travellers than peak season. I was at both last year around the weekend of 30 November (Special birthday for me!).
