Just a quick thank you again, for those of you who have been encouraging our children in their JBRs. As with most kids, writing is more of a chore than fun. My kids are actually asking for computer time DURING SUMMER BREAK, and not just for playing games. What kid in their right mind does this, I ask? That's the kid inside of me speaking. What started as an assignment geared at saving memories has turned into something that has helped our children actually enjoy writing. We truly are proud of our home-schooled children. My wife gets all the credit for any writing skills and proper use of the English language. All they get from me is a corny sense of humor and learning how to cheat by using the good ole spell check. Ok, I'll admit that she even gets the credit for grammar checking my essays, but I take full credit for the pooh-pooh humor, that my dear wife would never stoop to using. : ) Hopefully, we will get Dawn to give her own JBR, but until then, you'll be reading the fruits from her last 6 years of labor.
