you can change some money at the airport - straight in front of you as you come through customs. You won't miss them - the guys in the windows will be calling out to you! You will get a slightly better rate elsewhere, but I like to have a little cash on me.
Bakung Beach is fine - not flash, but comfortable. And the people in the lane it is on are great. the jbr below "no longer bali virgins" from Mr Mattles will give youa n idea, that's where they stayed.
Very quick to get into Kuta from here, but much quieter, and more a local community.
