we stayed there april 2000, sept 2001 and just rebooked for march next year, the kids have always come with first trip 9,11,13, the first impression as you pull up out the front will be this cant be the place, it does look like a hotel (very ordinary) it great once you go inside, very close to the art market and short walk to the beach, two minute walk if that to the mall, walkable distance from waterbom park.
there are certainly bigger more impressive hotels (expensive) and a lots of smaller hotels but this one has suited our needs, it is mixed some families, I met a few people that had been going there ever year for ten to fifteen years, some singles but I think most stay more toward legian (were most the night clubs are)
