I don't read Bolt's column unless someone points out something particularly ridiculous in it, which happens regularly enough.
He's pretty much a print version of a shock jock.
Anyway... Indonesia is a skewed reality, whether anyone presents it like that or not. That's the beauty of the place.
There really hasn't been much good reporting on Indonesia in the daily papers here for a long time. The best reports are in journals like Inside Indonesia, but that only comes out every couple of months, so it's not always up-to-date. Asian Times online does some good stuff.
