bali is still the same place it has always been. the balinese dont agree with sc's sentence as much as aussies. most of them will not argue about guilty or innocent as their news does not tell them about aussie baggage handlers. BUT THEY DO NOT AGREE WITH THE SENTENCE and the shop owners, taxidrivers, restaraunts etc realise this is going to hurt them alot more than the judges who handed down the verdict. all of the balinese people whom we spoke to say the bali bombers paid a bribe to the judges but the judges will deny this. it is as safe as its always been but take precautions because you are leaving australia and a lot of people realise we have a major problem with baggage handlers moving drugs through our airports. we have had this problem for a long, long time but now the baggage handlers are not very bright they cant even get it in the right bags these days. glad wrap your bag or take other precautions, just dont be stupid
