I have a tip for haggling. Most people say whatever price is first offered halve it and go from there. My tip is whatever price they start with you start with 10 000RP!! It works. Sometimes the prices they start with are so hight if you half it, you will be paying so much more than it is worth!
Another good thing is you can have a laugh with the Balanese beacuse you start so low. I found it works well!!
You should try it... If they look at you like you are stupid for saying such a low price you can just laugh and say just joking!!!
I went to buy a plain shell necklace and the starting price was
300 000 RP!! which is way too much. I satarted at 10 000 and got 3 necklaces for 60 000!! Good deal.
