I always seem to get up early in Bali for some reason, leave my hubby to sleep, slip into my bathers & a dress & sit outside on the balcony for 1/2 an hour or so just to enjoy the morning sights & sounds. Then I will go for an hours walk along the beach, come back & shower (hubby is finally awake!). Then we both head on down to brekky (usually fresh fruit, poached eggs & tomato or nasi goreng and not forgetting the bali kopi). After brekky head back to our room & pack up sarongs & things to take down to the beach. We are usually down to the beach by 10:30 or 11:00. Our friends on the beach see us coming & have our 2 beds & umbrella ready for us. Here we will stay all day long... swimming (well diving under the oncoming waves for me & swimming/body surfing for hubby), sunbaking, eating pineapples, drinking heaps of water, trying new foods out of the baskets that the girls bring around for the locals (klopon are yum), more swimming/jumping under waves, massage on the beds, pedicure, & chatting with our bali friends. Have an afternoon drink on the beach with Billy & friends & perhaps stay to watch the sunset then head off back to our room for a shower & pre-dinner drink of our duty free alcohol out on our balcony, do a spot of shopping, then decide on where we are going to eat for dinner. Hmmm, La Luciola, La Trattoria, Poco Loco, Sharkey's, Mykonos or for that special occassion Ku De Ta.. just to name a few. After dinner we are usually pretty buggered (that sun certainly takes it out of you), so head off back to our room and collapse into bed. And then starts another day all over again.
