Best easy snorkeling right in front of the Vienna Beach Hotel [Pondok Vienna]. Extensive live coral reef with lots of fish. Usually best at times of minimum rise and fall of the tide. Hope you strike it lucky.
Interesting way is up the coast road from Candi Dasa past Ujung to Lipah and back on the inland road past Tirtagganga. Very scenic, mountains, valleys with rice paddies, bay after bay full of fishing boats etc.
For a good restaurant with nice food at a very reasonable price in Lipah, and immediate beach front, I recommend the Coral View Cottages own restaurant. And a beautiful pool for a swim before/after your meal.
But a long day. You may wish that you were staying for a day or two-----or three-----
