my favourite topic.. !!
lightweight knits are the most comfortable , ie thin t-shirt or stretchy fabrics . I know everyone says cotton , BUT it creases and with the humidity you end up looking like a crumpled rag. Allow for sweating ( sorry, glowing!) and the wet look effect on fabrics, so patterned is better than plain . I find long full skirts ( gypsy style) cooler than trousers but 3/4 are still ok with a long cool top over. Sleeveless if you can , otherwise loose short sleeves , light pastel/white seem cooler than black . European tourists wear surprisingly bright colours, so noone really stands out and anything goes. Def cotton undies ( if you wear them, LOL ! ) Everything must be comfortable and not too tight . Caftans good around the hotel if you wear them .Big sarong cover up for swimming/pool , flat shoes/sandals and comfy old sneakers for walking on uneven roads
You can get anything made/copied, just take fave things from home or a picture, with your materials or buy there , v cheap and quick
Re the air trip, you can get a seat belt extension if needed, I've seen the cabin staff hand them out and I think they just clip on
The front seats have the most room for the tray
There are many large people on holiday , you should see some of the Americans - wowee - so don't be self-conscious , most of the Balinese are kind hearted and will still make you feel at home . Have a ball and don't worry , nearly everyone is in the same boat to a greater or lesser extent in that heat , and noone dreeses up , it's casual all the way :-)
