safe to walk from airport?

I will be arriving at Bali's airport around 10 in the evening. The hotel where I am staying the first night claims that it is an easy walk, but I am not sure how I feel about walking around an unknown place in the dark when I am jet-lagged. Would it be better to get a taxi or just walk to the hotel?
