Singapore or Bali?

We stop in Singapore for 2 days on the way to Bali. Should we be shopping for things there or wait to get to Bali? Are the costs comparable? Should we bring duty free booze to Bali or are there readily accessible stores to buy scotch,gin, beer etc? thanks again.
