We stayed at Puri Raja last August. The hotel is beachfront although a paved walkway seperates it from the sand, as happens with most hotels in the area. The rooms were ok in size and had been renovated although the bathroom was only adequate size and out of date. There was plenty of wardrobe space, although not enough room to store away our suitcases (we found a corner to pop them in). The gardens and pathways are well maintained. Staff were all very friendly and ready to have a chat or a bit of fun. The fridge and tv worked fine and the aircon, well actually it was a little too cool and hard to regulate successfully (I should have rung maintainence and had it looked at). There are 2 pools, one quieter one away from the beach end, up near reception and the other plays music, has pool bar and plenty of activity. The restaurant is beachfront (ish) and serves good breakfasts with plenty of choice. Itwas light, clean and airy with three sides open.
We enjoyed our stay in the Hotel (my 10th visit to Bali) and have booked again for August.
