There are hundreds of places to stay in Bali but a few stand out. Kartika Plaza is a luxury resort where you both can swim eat party and relax. A 10 min walk along the beach from the back of the hotel, gets you into Kuta where all the action is. Lots of places to eat drink.
Another good hotel is the Kuta Seaview right on Kuta beach. Although it is a budget hotel, It has a newly renovated pool area and reasonable room size. You can get an off the street price of about $100 per night with breakfast. If you stay longer, you can get an even better price is you bargain hard. This hotel is right on the main street and is close to everthing.
