My understanding is that you can get Hep A from eating food or using utensils that are not that clean - Hep C is transmitted via bodily fluids (ie blood, saliva, etc. & is incredibly serious, & can be fatal). If your doc tested you and said you got Hep from eating food, then I would presume the results showed Hep A, not C. :)
