Having been 'invited' into the customs office on two separate occasions upon entering Bali (once because my travel mate had an extra carton of cigarettes, and the other when we had brought in 91kgs of supplies for the Bali Dog Rescue), I am rather wary of the types that are the customs officers. Of course said officer was only trying to 'help' us re the cigarettes to the tune of $A20 and the Bali Dog Rescue stuff was resolved after their vets collected the goods themselves (we had letters and approval from Garuda). I am not convinced that anyone is 100% guilty. It is to be noted that the Australian Government is busy trying to be buddy-buddy with the new Government over there, and also note that the Australian Government did not try to intervene when 2 Australians were held for around 3 years without charge or trial by the USA. God I hate politics! (Please note that I do not have an opinion on who is guilty or not, but let's be fair)>
