I've read on the forum people getting drivers for 150,000rp per day. I've also seens lots of people getting drivers for 200,000rp per day. Last time we went, we bargained really hard and shopped around and the best we could get was 270,000rp or 280,000rp. We definitely got the cheapest price we could off the people we spoke to, but I get the distinct feeling that in the main tourist areas there is some massive sub-sub-sub-sub-contracting going on. Perhaps the dude driving only gets 20,000rp, but the dude that owns the car gets heaps, and heaps of others take cream off the top.
Maybe the best deals come from dealing directly with drivers that own their own cars. I'd love to hear other peoples' take on this.
