Very scenic rice terraces going down into a deep valley on the way there. Long street lined with wood carving workshops, all selling direct. The local speciality is painted carvings. Asking prices seemed reasonable and you can bargain. The name is regarded as a bit of a tongue-twister by some of the tourists. I got some compliments from some locals because I managed to say it. Maybe I had an advantage because I went there with my son and his Balinese wife in their car. Dayu has a relative working in one of the wood carving workshops, so we just went straight to her place.
