I assume you mean around Kuta. You can hire surf and body boards along the Kuta beach area. Quite often they are pretty old and worn out. Another option is to go to the surf board repair places up the lanes off the beach (eg Poppies 1 and 2)- I hired a reasonable body board and fins for 3 days. If you have big feet (like me - size 11) you might have to look around a bit. Get far better rates if you hire for a number of days (and of course bargain!!)

I was over on Lembongan for a few days as well and there were a couple of hire places for surf boards but didn't see any body boards.

Not sure if you have been to Bali before but quite a few people from Aus take their own boards and don't seem to have much of a problem on the plane. Would be ok if you are to stay in the same place but a pain if you are moving around.
