Past few days haven't too the greatest.Had a dose of the infamous BB.Can't believe after all these years I got crook.We found out 2 local friends ate lunch at same place & got sick ,we went there for dinner & got crook - mental note do NOT eat at Kopi Bali in Lovina ever again !It just seems too much of a coincidence.
After laying low for a while & taking Norrit I eventually went to the apotik today & got some Imodium.Hopefully they will kick in soon.Not much fun not eating & just drinking water.
In brief ,this trip so far- we all loved the MBR in Legian,the old suite rooms are huge.Good location right on the beach & great pools.We hired a bike for 30K a day to get around on.Got transport into Denpasar so I could buy some lace for an outfit our tailor is making.The fabrics & lace are beautiful & so cheap in Denpasar.Hubby hated the smell of the markets & couldn't drag me out of there quick enough!
Ordered another suit for the hubby & a few outfits for me from Aristo at Merry's tailor in Legian- he's really good.Ordered a pair of sandals - copy of DF in leather from leather shop opposite ,only 150K.Will let u know what I think when I pick them up.Caught up with LynneD at S & S & went to dinner at La Scala out at Tanjung Benoa.Great food,terrific prices & roof shaped like Sydney Opera House <LOL>
Spent a few days in Ubud at Ubud Village - great as usual.Bit of shopping at the market & caught up with some friends.Next Pacung Indah,very nice location with lovely views.My son & I made friends with a local family.Unfortunately David & Moira were back in Australia so we didn't get to meet them again this trip!
Now in Lovina & haven't done much here at all cause of being crook.We expect to head back to Legian tomorrow & will be staying at the Aquarius Star on Jalan Legian near Poppies 2 & fly home 1.30am on Sunday 30th.
